My Manifesto…
This manifesto is not a list of qualities that you need to become a great place leader. These are the beliefs and practices I tell myself and my teams: as we work to create better places, grow our communities of practice, build organizational networks, develop leadership and grow as individuals, we must hold these truths:
I believe it is all practice.
Love in organizational and community leadership is a revolutionary act and one after trying it in other ways (competition, fear, shame, etc) we might explore more.
Having a plan and remaining flexible is the sweet spot.
Being grounded in place allows for good things to be experienced and expanded.
Finally, love where you live.
If you love where you live, you will take care of where you live. That is the heart of this manifesto — a guiding principle for us to follow and hold each other accountable towards.
